For the Memories
For the Memories:
Syvanah Age 6, Year 2012
Halloween Night Syvanah had reviewed with me the rules of not going into a strangers house. Early in our trick-or-treating we come upon a house with door open as they were taking pictures of their son. After Syvanah collected her candy the home-owner gestured to have his son come in continued to encourage by saying, "come on, come on in". Syvanah was terrified thinking that this was her moment. That this was the stranger trying to get her to come in his house. She stood there wide-eyed and shook her head, 'no, no'... being all she could think to say. As soon as the home-owner realized she thought he was talking to her, he said 'no, my son'. This was much to Syvanh's relief and we all had a good laugh!
Syvanah Age 6, 2012
Later that evening Syvanah's favorite comment was "that woman has such a sweet voice, she was very nice" to nearly every trick-or-treat house we went to. Near the end, Syvanah's comment somehow turned into "that woman's voice is sweeter than she looks!" We were not quit sure how to take that!
Taylor Age 3, 2012
Taylor wanting Tyson to reach a remote for him that was high on the book shelf thought he would point out the reason why he solicited Dad's help. He told Tyson "you're big and fat so you can reach the remote!"

Curly Hair
I broke down, and got rollers for Syvanah's and my straight hair. I must say she looks like a doll with her cute curly hair!
Happy 31st Birthday, Daddy!

Thanks for being such a great Dad and husband. We are so lucky to have you. I am so glad that I was able to convince him to propose and marry me. We love you!!
September 11, 2011

May we never forget what happened that terrible day. We taught our children the symbolism of these flags. Each flag had a caption written for each person that perished in that attack. First responders had a yellow ribbon tied to the flag.
Stormy Weather

We really appreciate the rare thunderstorms here. Even with my recently washed cars, I still welcome the much needed rain. The kids definitely do, too.
Hello Kitty Piggy Bank

Ethan got Syvanah this cute Hello Kitty Piggy Bank. Syvanah was very careful and completed painting it in a few days.
Getting Used to Our New Home

We love our new home. A few things I miss is the garden, reverse osmosis filter, deep kitchen sinks, an ice machine, and newer washer and dryer. The trade off was worth it though: no mortgage and 600+ extra square feet for the same price as our prior mortgage. Syvanah sometimes says she "misses" the old home, but I think she is just trying to get used to the new environment. It definitely has been an upgrade and we don't regret this decision at all.
